Hello,
I have not welcomed much of my new subscribers. I would like to give a big shout out to all of you! The comments and feedback are always greatly appreciated. I'm glad I am getting a good number of admirers! ahah! <3
Alright, here's my current situation. I have this highschool student who wants to motivate himself to draw more so he sent a challenge out on Facebook announcing he wanted to do theme drawings weekly. Each day he would create a drawing with a total of 7 at the end of the week. He never got anyone in his age group to participate, so I messaged him to accept his challenge and told him I have a busy schedule so we'll have a turn in of every Monday so I don't get left behind.
He was delighted with the notion, so starting last week we started our first prompt of 'Faces'. We turned them in and I was impressed to see him stick to it. This week we are doing 'Mythical Creatures'. I find this project very motivational and encourage anyone who would be interested to keep up with something like this, to give it a shot! I am about to post all of my faces from last week and will continue to post prompts on Mondays. If you want to figure out what we are doing in a week, message me and I'll tell you. If you just want to stay a step behind us and start on faces, that would be great too! I thought it was a simple, but great idea for artists. It builds motivation, gets us prepped for dead-lines, pushes us to create and rapidly think creatively. plus, practice makes perfect! Message me if you are interested!!!
Happy Drawing,
-Josh
Hello DA,
It's not often I update my journals, but I have picked up Pottery sense my last journal entry last year and, I've picked up a lot of new styles of painting and sculpture as well. I'm happy to see as many viewers as I've accumulated through this past year as well. It makes me feel improved as an artist for sure. I've had a Daily deviation on this site and have been asked to join several groups.
I've not only improved on my art this last year, but, I do it more. In almost every moment of every day that I can have available toward creating something, I do just that. I've even created my own website and try my best to improve it as time goes on. The website is my first name and last name dot com. www.joshhogge.com. I always enjoy feed-back on my work and my website, so don't be shy about critiquing me in any of it.
Upon everything mentioned, I'm taking commissions a lot and push it toward my online viewers as well. If you want something done, don't be shy with me. I'm sure we can figure out a transaction. If anything, I love bartering art for more art! Just keep that in mind.
Anyway, it's the end of my third year of college and I keep busy as ever. I pour a lot of love and passion in what I do and I hope it shows to you guys. I Also have an auction this thursday that I got 4 pieces juried into it. You can check it out on Facebook:
www.facebook.com/OPSUArtAuctio… and I have jury for Paseo District in OK City this week as well. They are both very exciting things, and I hope to do well in both.
