Make Tea, Not War

This was my first painting of the Summer 2011. I had the idea in my head a while, but my Summer painting class gave me the motivation. I was painting the photo when I noticed the drum had a sticker with the words, "Make Tea Not War". So the title fell in place, it's a scottish band roaming the streets. The idea of the shape is simply symbolic pride. I'm a sculpture major, so it's easy for ideas to flow better in a sculpturaul feel.
